SoftLocker.net Software Protection System

The SoftLocker.net Software Protection System is an advanced online system for protecting your private label software. It is included with all RebrandSoftware.com Private Label products.

How do I use it?

SoftLocker.net is already embedded in all private label products. When you customize your software you will be able to choose one of three different registration types:

• Standard
  : This method is recommended for security and flexibility. Each of your customers will receive a unique registration code after their purchase. You can deliver codes manually (free) or integrate with your payment processor for automated registration delivery (paid). Very secure and easy to use.
• One Code
  You choose one code that you want to deliver to all of your customers after their purchase, eliminating the need to generate a unique code for each customer. Less secure but very easy. You can change your mind and use the Standard method any time. Please enter your desired username and registration code below:
  
• Freeware/No Code
  No registration code will be required by the customer. The customer will still require an active internet connection to activate their software. Insecure but very easy to use. Requires a rebuild ($15) to switch to a different registration method.

What does the free version do?

The free version of SoftLocker.net is included with all rebrand software products. For no extra cost it allows you to:

• Require a registration code before the full version of your software can be activated
• Manually generate a unique registration code for each software license you sell
• Have those registration codes automatically emailed to your customers

What does the paid version do?

The paid version of SoftLocker.net is optional and allows you to:

• Protect any file (including PDF, EXE, image, movie, audio and text formats), not just your branded products!
• Require a registration code before the full version of your software can be activated
• Automatically generate a unique registration code for each software license you sell
• Restrict each license to use on only one computer
• Remotely disable individual licenses in the event of illegal distribution attempts
• Revoke the privilege to run your software if someone asks for a refund
• Track the IP Address and unique Computer ID of each user
• View detailed statistics on unauthorized usage attempts
• Automatically collect identifying information about each user
• Charge a monthly fee for your software, and have it automatically expire if you don't receive a payment

Step 01: Download the SoftLocker.net Client

First, download and install the SoftLocker.net Client for Windows

After installing the client, log in using your RebrandSoftware.com username and password. You must have purchased Private Label software in order for your login to be valid.

Click on the "Users" button. Click the "Add" button in the users area to add a new user. Your private label programs will be listed in the drop-down Product list. Choose the program that you want the registration code to access from the drop down list. Then enter the email address of your customer. You can enter multiple email addresses by separating them with a semicolon (;).

If you decide to email the customer automatically they will receive their registration code via email. Otherwise you will need to email the registration information to them yourself.



When you are done adding users select your program from the drop down list on the Users screen. This will display all users of that program, including the ones you just added.



That's it! You have just added a user for your program. That user can use their registration information to unlock the software the next time they open it.

You can search for users and select them in the list to reset their Computer ID (if they need to switch computers) or change their registration code so that it works on Single or Multiple computers.
