Features
What it does
Pick your own encryption
Encrypt your vault with AES 256 or Blowfish 448. Whichever you choose, nothing is readable without your master password.
Your master password is local-only
Your master password and encryption type live on your devices and nowhere else, not even on our optional cloud servers. Use entirely offline, sync locally over wifi, or auto-sync in the cloud. No one but you can decrypt your passwords, not even us!
Free optional cloud sync
Add a free cloud account and your devices sync every few minutes. Add a password on your Mac, it appears on your iPhone and vice-versa.
Mac and iPhone
Create an account on each device once with the same username, master password and encryption type.
Import existing passwords
Bring your existing passwords in from CSV, and export a copy any time; your data is never locked inside the app.
Find it fast
Search across every entry, organise with custom icons, and keep secure encrypted notes alongside your logins.

Built around one idea: the key never leaves your hands
Most password tools ask you to trust a company with the keys to everything. Easy Password Storage is built the other way around. Your vault is encrypted on your device, and if you choose to use online sync only encrypted data is transmitted. Your master password and encryption type stay on your devices.
Setting up a second device
Sync works by creating a matching account on each device. On your Mac, create your account and log in, then create a free cloud account from the Cloud section. On your iPhone, create an account with the same username, master password and encryption type, then log in to the same cloud account from Settings. From then on the two reconcile every few minutes.
There is a step-by-step version of this on the how syncing works page.
You can also work entriely offline using password exports, or within your own network using WiFi-sync.
A long-running app
Easy Password Storage has been available since 2015, requires no subscription, and has never had a security incident.

Questions about Easy Password Storage, syncing or moving your data? I answer all support emails personally within 1 business day.
-
How do I sync my computer with my phone or tablet?
Create a matching account on each device using the same username, master password and encryption type, then log in to the same free cloud account from both. Your devices reconcile every 2–3 minutes.
-
Where is my Easy Password Storage data stored?
Encrypted, on your device. If you use cloud sync, a copy of that already-encrypted data is stored in your cloud account so other devices can pull it down — but only your devices can decrypt it.
-
Can you see my master password?
No. It is never transmitted over the internet and never stored on any server. That is why you re-enter it when setting up each device rather than having it sync across.
-
Is the mobile app a separate purchase from the Mac app?
Yes — the iOS and Mac apps are sold separately on their respective App Stores, $2.99 each. They share the same cloud account, so one vault syncs across all your devices.
-
How do I create a user and choose an encryption type?
The first time you open the app you pick a username, master password and encryption type. You can create as many separate users as you like — each vault is encrypted separately and invisible to the others.
-
How do I list my passwords alphabetically by title?
Use the toggle to the right of the search bar to switch to Title View, then click the Title column to sort A–Z. The app remembers the setting.
